Lassie is a very quiet and nervous black and white girl – seven years old.

She’s no trouble at all, but would prefer a quiet home as she is not confident and probably won’t do well with a lot of noisy children or too much constant activity.  An experienced owner might be best, but really all she needs is patience and understanding, and a comfortable home where she can live the good life in retirement!

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2011: Lassie has now been adopted and is no longer available.

Sailor is a handsome, three year old boy. He loves to go for a walk, but would probably do best in a child-free home simply because he’s a very laid-back dog who doesn’t do ‘busy’! If you’re looking for a quiet companion who doesn’t always want to be doing something, then Sailor could be the dog for you.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2011: Sailor has now been adopted and is no longer available.

Thanks to Sailor’s new family who have very kindly sent us a photo of him in his new home!

Lester (the mostly white dog looking directly at the camera, above) was rehomed in October 2010 – here’s what his new family has to say about him:

“Well after nearly two weeks they are both getting along together really well, there’s been no grumpiness from either of them.

I think FInley has taught Lester a few bad habits and I also think Lester has taught him how to ‘Roach’ as Finley was upside-down in his bed last night and he never does that.

I really couldn’t have wished for them to get along any better.

Lester is also starting to relax a bit more now, for the first few days he was obviously very confused and probably a bit scared, but now he seems to be getting cheekier every day which I think is great, although J could pull her hair out at times!”

The photo below was Lester’s profile picture.

Josie is a sweet, tiny black girl, four years old. She has been returned to the kennel through no fault of her own and is already house-trained and used to the routine of living as a pet.

Her coat is a little poor at the moment, but with time, should improve. We expect her to shed the brown fluff and become sleek and velvety black – most black dogs do!

Josie is very quiet and happy, yet can be lively, too!

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2010: Josie has now been rehomed and is no longer available.

Betty is a four and a half year old black girl. She is very gentle, and would suit a family or maybe an older person or retired couple. She’s laid back, and takes life as it comes. Nothing much bothers her.

UPDATE OCTOBER 2010: Betty has now been adopted and is no longer available.
