Brambleberry Greyhounds RGT was once again invited to attend DWR Open Day which was held on Sunday 3rd July. The event drew a record attendance with over 1,000 people passing through the gates. It’s a really nice event, with a fun dog show, and some great exhibitions, with displays of falconry and canine members of the armed forces showing their skills among other attractions. Visitors (and stallholders) also get the chance to go behind the scenes at the referral centre and see the animal wards and facilities and meet some of the vets and the huge number of staff which work there.
Over £2,000 was raised towards the Dick White Charitable Foundation which trains vets and helps to provide funding & services for the street dogs and cats in Cuba.
Brambleberry RGT did quite well on the day with over £70 raised which will go directly to Sharon and be used to help with day-to-day & medical expenses for the adoptable dogs currently living at the Brambleberry kennels.
