Joe

Published on June 26, 2012, in Rehomed dogs.

A small, black male greyhound, six years old.

Joe is a very jolly, happy dog who really doesn’t act his age – in his mind, he’s a lot younger! He will happily fit into pretty much any home, with children, other dogs, or on his own.

He doesn’t seem to be any kind of ‘oil painting’ right now, but blacks don’t show to their best advantage in their thicker kennel coats. Once they’ve been in a home for a while, they usually develop a sleek, shiny ‘velvety’ coat that gleams like no other colour.

Please don’t be put off by his greying face – many dogs do go grey early but it is no indication of health problems.

UPDATE October 2012:  Joe has now been rehomed and is no longer available.

Here’s Ginny – she’s a pretty girl, 4 years old, and blue.

Despite her small size, Ginny can be very strong and tends to pull on the lead so she will need a more experienced owner. However, she loves people and loves children, and she is already housetrained.

Because of her strong personality, we think Ginny would be happier as an only dog.

UPDATE June 2012: Ginny has now been adopted and is no longer available.

Lucy is an absolutely beautiful fawn girl with ‘eyebrows’. Having a dog with eyebrows myself, I know just how much this adds to the expressiveness of their faces – it seems to add a lot of character, and she will definitely make you smile!

She is a happy lady, very affectionate and good with children – and good with small dogs, too.

UPDATE May 2012: Lucy has now been adopted and is no longer available.
